June 14-15, 2010
ANNUAL WOODCHOPPER'S JAMBOREE & RODEO
Encampment Parade downtown toward Hwy 70 into
the Town of Riverside, Jackpots & added prizes, WRA Rodeo,
BBQ & Melodrama Saturday night at the Town Hall.

The chips fly on Father's Day weekend in June every year in Encampment as loggers come from all over the country to compete for the title of Rocky Mountain Champion Lumberjack. Using power saws, axes and hand saws, the men and women competitors cut down "trees", chop logs, and saw squared wood blocks in half, racing the clock for the fastest time. Cowboys ride bulls and broncs and the melodrama encourages the audience to get involved. This unique Wyoming event assure a good time to be had by all.

July 10-11, 2010
ANNUAL LITTLE SNAKE RIVER RODEO WRA
Annual rodeo is in Dixon at the Russell Community Park. Fun Day follows the rodeo. Events include pig chasing, chicken chasing, sheep riding, calf riding, and more. Call 307-383-7976.

July 23-24, 2010
ANNUAL PLATTE RIVER RODEO Association
will sponsor the WRA rodeo at the Buck Springs Rodeo grounds near Saratoga. Team roping
events, barrel racing, and much more with added purse monies. For more information contact
the Saratoga Chamber at 307-326-8855.

This rodeo provides lots of great actions with local riders and those just starting out in rodeo. Including roping, rough stock and barrel racing events for men and women with fun activities for the kids. This hometown rodeo will provide you with a feel for what rodeo is really about.

August 7-14, 2010
CARBON COUNTY FAIR IN RAWLINS AT THE CARBON COUNTY FAIRGROUNDS
Livestock shows and sales, project displays and demonstrations, cotton candy and pretzels, demolition derby and rodeos, 4-H and FFA and more. Held at the Carbon County Fairgrounds in Rawlins. A concert is scheduled for 7 p.m. Aug. 11. The rodeo is tentatively scheduled to start at 7 p.m. Aug. 12-13 and the demolition derby is scheduled for 4 p.m. Aug. 14. August 21, 2010
ANNUAL STEINLEY CUP & 8TH ANNUAL BULLFEST WEEKEND in Saratoga. Starting at 1 PM on Sat. afternoon on Veteran's Island Park in Saratoga is the official Wyoming State Microbrewery Competition held the third full weekend of August annually. Later that evening, join the Bull Fest competition with bull riders at 7 PM at the Buck Springs Rodeo Grounds near Saratoga. The next day, from 12 - 2 PM again on Veteran's Island Park in Saratoga stick around for the Taste of the West Cook-Off.
