Author Evening at The Historic Elk Mountain Hotel
Author Evening at The Historic Elk Mountain Hotel features dinner (Inspired by Turkey & SE European Cusine) and an Author Talk by award winning author Cat Urbigkit on September 15th, 2018.
Cat Urbigkit is an award-winning writer and photographer based on a western Wyoming sheep ranch where she receives much inspiration for her work. She has written and photographed seven non-fiction books for children, as well as five nonfiction titles for adults. Cat and her husband have imported sheep dogs from Turkey and South Eastern Europe to help herd their sheep on their sheep ranch. These dogs are raised with the sheep and so identify with them as family. It is a fascinating subject and Cat has written about and photographed these dogs in action. As a tribute, we will be offering a menu that is inspired by dishes from that region of the world. You can learn more about Cat by visiting her website: http://paradisesheep.com
The event will be a fundraiser to help repair the roof of our community church that got badly hit recently in a hail storm that zipped through town with golf ball sized hail.
