Wyoming’s most famous destination is Yellowstone National Park, located in the northwestern most part of the state. Carbon County Wyoming is a magical corridor to visit on your way our nation’s first National Park. The Saratoga Lions Club and Platte Valley Jaycees are host annual Skijoring Races on every February at Buck Springs Race Track in Saratoga, WY. There is typically around 90 races per day with prize money totaling around $10,000 thanks to a matching grant from the Carbon County Visitors Council.

The Wyoming Office of Tourism and the Carbon County Visitors Council invites you to join us as we kick off the summer season by showing our Wyoming pride statewide.
“This summer we have seen that travel and tourism is resilient and has returned to Carbon County.” said Leslie Jefferson, CEO, CCVC. “With the Summer Season coming to an end, we are relaunching our Visitor Journey A2D (Arrival to Departure). The course is 100% free to residents of Carbon County.”
The Carbon County WY – Visitor Journey A2D is a combination of online learning along with a live class that ties the training together. The time required to complete the course is roughly two (2) hours of online learning, broken into 15-20 minute segments, and a 60 to 75-minute live class.“
As tourism season picks up, the Carbon County Visitors’ Council (CCVC) is excited to announce the arrival of the new guides which are currently available for pickup at the Carbon County Visitors Council office in Rawlins and at various businesses throughout the county. You can also download a guide or request that a guide be mailed to you.
The Carbon County Visitors Council needs your help. Submit your favorite photo taken in Carbon County into our annual photo contest for the chance to win one of 3 cash prizes ($150 for 1st / $100 for 2nd / $50 for honorable mention). Your photos will be used to promote Carbon County, Wyoming as a travel destination to potential visitors to our area.
